In this episode I talk about the islands of Amakusa in south-western Japan, and fail to relate these islands to the movie Hot Fuzz.
This time I recorded myself in GarageBand and "shared" to iTunes, then dragged the MP3 file to the desktop.
The sound's a lot better, but GarageBand isn't the easiest program to use.
This is just a test. I used the Mac's internal mic to record directly into podOmatic.
The sound isn't so good, but it's quick and easy.
The most popular series in the UK used by many primary schools and by many families at home is the Oxford Reading Tree (ORT). Enjoy reading about Biff, Chip, and Floppy, and follow them through their many exciting adventures!
One of the leading publishers of children's books in the U.K. is Usborne. Their easiest series is Usborne First Reading ("UFR" for short). PUK students generally prefer Usborne Young Reading (UYR) because the stories are a little longer.
What should you read? It's best to start with things that you enjoy. I'd like to tell you about some series we have in the PUK Library, that are very popular with students.
Reading is very useful for learning English. Many teachers and researchers say that reading lots of English books is the best way to improve your English.
